Memorandum of Association
Preamble
1 . Convinced of the significant role of Scholars and professionals in the long-drawn- out and continuous struggle for the reduction as well as eradication of poverty in Ethiopia and particularly in Tigrai.
2 . Considering that it is a timely and historical imperative for professionals to get involved in the movement for the reduction of poverty in an organized manner, besides mass mobilization;
3 . Now, therefore, the “Association of Professionals of Tigrai for Poverty Reduction” is hereby reorganized
Article 1
Establishment
1.1. A non-governmental and non-partisan organization that will operate in Ethiopia and, where necessary, abroad is hereby established.
1.2. The name of the association shall be “Association of Professionals of Tigrai for Poverty Reduction”.
Article 2
Definition
In this memorandum of association:
2.1. “Association” means Association of Professionals of Tigrai for Poverty Reduction.
2.2. “Member” means any professional who has graduated with a diploma or above;
2.3. “General Meeting” means the supreme and the highest organ of Tigrai Professionals Association Constituted of all of the members;
2.4. “Council” Means the executive organ of Tigrai Professionals Association;2.5. “Organizations” means any professional sub-organization that operate under the supervision of Tigrai Professionals Association;
2.6. “Government” means the Regional Government of Tigrai;
